Olympus 2249 Wiki & Guide
Olympus 2249 wiki: the five Karmic Types, paired attributes, specializations and 35 perks, turn-based combat, and what the $20 Early Access build has.
Official Trailer Karmic Type
Which dialogue lines can you pick?
Your type sets which replies you see. The devlog rule: you get your own type's lines plus the two types next to it on the scale, plus lines from your peacetime specialization. Picking a neighbour's line adds points to that type, so your Karma can drift over a playthrough. Tap a type.
Neutral: Weighs each deal on its own; reaches both neighbours.
Can pick: Rascal, Neutral, Optimist lines.
The order and the "two adjacent" rule are from Dieselship Studio's role-playing devlog. For the two ends of the scale the devlog does not say whether the scale wraps, so Asshole and Moralist are shown with one neighbour until launch confirms it. The one-line descriptions are ours. Full Karma guide

What is Olympus 2249?
Olympus 2249 is a single-player, turn-based cRPG by Dieselship Studio, set in a post-nuclear dieselpunk America. It is the standalone sequel to Olympus 2207, the team's Fallout 2 total-conversion mod, and it needs nothing from the mod or from Fallout 2. It enters Steam Early Access on October 6, 2026 for Windows, at $20 according to the developers.
The Early Access build holds the first of three story acts, about a quarter of the planned story, and the studio puts a playthrough at 3 to 7 hours. Every planned system is already in: Karmic Types, paired attributes and specializations, turn-based combat with aimed shots, crafting, stealth, desert storms, radiation and poison zones, and a day and night cycle where NPCs keep their own routines.

Attributes come in pairs
Strength and Agility form Physique. Raise one and the other is capped.
Both examples are the developers' own. They call 5/5 legal but "not the best way out": a jack of all trades gets the most out of neither.
35 perks to choose from
You pick two specializations at creation, one for weapons and one peacetime profession. Each adds its own perk list.
- Universal: 21
- Combat specialization: 7
- Peacetime specialization: 7
You only get a limited number of picks, and how many depends on your attributes. Some perks unlock active combat abilities.
First hour
Your first hour in the wasteland
- Take a preset on your first run. The developers recommend one of the four presets until you know the system. Builds
- Choose your Karmic Type on purpose. It decides which replies, jobs and even locations you see. Karma guide
- Pick a peacetime specialization you will use. It adds dialogue options and its own seven perks, so it is half your build.
- Fight with the map, not just the gun. Kick fuel barrels, light oil spills, aim for limbs and spend Stamina on abilities. Combat
- Look for places that are not on the map. The devlog's example: a shooting range near your home where hitting bottles gives experience. Beginner guide

Wasteland questions
What is Olympus 2249?
A single-player, turn-based isometric cRPG by Dieselship Studio, set in a post-nuclear dieselpunk America. It is the standalone sequel to Olympus 2207, the studio's Fallout 2 total-conversion mod, and it enters Steam Early Access on October 6, 2026.
How much does Olympus 2249 cost?
The developer said 20 USD on the Steam forum, with regional prices set by Steam. The studio also says it plans to raise the price gradually as content is added, up to the full release.
Do I need to play Olympus 2207 or own Fallout 2?
No. Olympus 2249 is a standalone game. Olympus 2207 was a Fallout 2 mod; the developers have said they have not looked into re-releasing it because that would need Bethesda's permission.
Who keeps this guide
Olympus 2249 Guide is an independent, unofficial fan resource for Olympus 2249 players — not affiliated with Dieselship Studio.
- How we verify: Every mechanic is tied to a developer source: the Steam page, the studio devlog on YouTube, or a developer reply on the Steam forum. Player reports are labelled as such until we can match them to a second source.
- Update cadence: Pages are rechecked after each Early Access patch note on Steam and after each new devlog in the studio series, which the studio has said runs to four videos.
- What we don't do: No guessed perk lists, no invented quest steps and no Fallout numbers passed off as Olympus ones. If the game has not shown it yet, the page says so.
